Our Story
Dreams Dance School is a recognised school in the three local counties. It is a Registered International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) School and an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). The school prides itself on producing quality work, training its students to develop to the highest possible standard, whilst maintaining the FUN in dance.
Our classes encourage the development of dance and musical awareness and help to build confidence in a happy, friendly environment. As well as being a great form of exercise, all students have the opportunity to perform in our annual show and can enter graded examinations to ascertain their ability. Dreams Dance School was established in 2001 and currently runs dance classes for both children and adults, ranging from 18 months to 80+ years old.
Dreams Dance School, run by Victoria, who is classically trained, specialises in Modern Jazz, Classical Ballet, Tap, Street, and Freestyle. The school also runs a variety of fitness classes, including aerobic, stretch, and toning classes.
Our classes are tailored to discovering and fulfilling the potential of each individual, helping them to achieve their dreams and succeed in their goals.
Dreams originated from Cardiganshire Bay on the west coast of Wales and has now expanded beyond the Ceredigion districts into Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire counties. Dreams Dance School continues to grow each year, with increasing student numbers. Each pupil receives outstanding exam results and performs in both festivals and shows.
Victoria originally began her training in performance at Kingston University, London, where she studied Drama and Dance. She later turned to teaching and choreography, gaining her recognised IDTA and RAD qualifications. With her vivacious personality, she brings enthusiasm and motivation to all of her classes, inspiring each individual to achieve their dreams. As a Personal Trainer, REPS Studio, Level 3 GP Referral and Fitness Instructor, and Level 4 BACPR Cardiac Specialist, Victoria offers a wealth of expertise. She collaborates with primary and secondary schools in Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, where she teaches dance and fitness classes. She is well known for her highly energetic fitness sessions and has featured on S4C’s “Cariad @ Iaith” and “Ar Lafar,” teaching dance through the medium of Welsh.
A respected dancer and disciplined teacher in the county, Victoria also serves as an adjudicator for local dance competitions. Her dedication, passion, and enthusiasm are evident in all aspects of her work, and these qualities are reflected in her students.
Victoria Ravenscroft Thomas
Victoria Qualified in 2010 with Honours as a Modern Jazz Dance Teacher with the International Dance Teachers Association and Classical Ballet Associate with The Royal Academy of Dance. She is the Principal Dance Teacher of Dreams Dance School based in Theatr Mwldan Cardigan with over 200 pupils from 18months through to 80 years old, teaching them a variety of styles within the RAD and IDTA syllabus from Street, Tap, Modern Jazz to Musical Theatre and Classical Ballet. She holds both dance and fitness classes for all ages in Theatr Mwldan Cardigan and strongly believes that the combination of both things is the ideal class for ANY age and ANY ability
